Exclusive: Ghandour back to Qatar

EgyptianSoccer.com - International referee Gamal El-Ghandour will resume his refereeing position in Qatar beginning next week, after an agreement was reached with the head of the Qatari FA, sheikh Khalifa bin Hassan.

Sheikh Hassan, who had been accompanying the Qatari National Team to Egypt in their scheduled friendly with their Egyptian counterparts last week, was on hand to actively pursue the return of referee El-Ghandour back to Qatar on the side of the National team game in Port Said.

El-Ghandour who currently presents his own refereeing program on a known Arab Satellite television channel, told EgyptianSoccer.com that he will only be traveling to Qatar on a bi-weekly basis for 48 hours.

International referee Gamal El-Ghandour had worked at Qatar in the first phase of the league competition, and was keen on returning there following his reinstatement as an international referee by FIFA.

In a short phone call with Mr. El-Ghandour, EgyptianSoccer.com conveyed it's best wishes to the Egyptian referee on behalf of all EgyptianSoccer.com readers.
