EgyptianSoccer.com - Egyptian Pharaohs in Europe enjoyed a rather successful weekend,
winning most of their matches and scoring three goals. Ahmed Hassan,
Abdel Zaher El Saqa, and Ahmed "Mido" Hossam all managed to net crucial
goals in the race for the Turkish and Spanish titles. Elsewhere, in
Germany, Hany Ramzy defended his net in a very important game for the
"Red Devils" of Germany.
Genclerbirligi duo impress
Once
again, Ahmed Hassan and Abdel Zaher El Saqa managed to net a goal each
in Genclerbirligi's 3-1 victory over Denizlispor in Turkey's Super Lig.
Hassan's 20-yard strike and Saqa's well placed 63rd minute
finish helped the club to their 56 point, one point less than
Galatasaray who are in second place. League leaders Besiktas were dealt
a huge blow today when Gaziantepspor managed to hold them to a 1-1 draw.
The
last time Hassan and Saqa scored on the same occasion was in the
quarter finals of the Turkish cup against current league leaders
Besiktas.
The duo had been recently sent off for arguing with the referee a couple of weeks ago.

Mido scores on debut
Former
Ajax Amsterdam and currently on-loan to Celta Vigo striker Ahmed "Mido" Hossam was keen on proving his critics wrong today when he debuted for
Celta Vigo at home against Athletic Bilbao.
The Egyptian
youngster, who has been loaned out due to an argument with Ajax coach
Ronald Koeman, netted the equalizer for his new team in the 20th minute
when he skillfully controlled and placed the ball precisely over the
keeper's head. Mido was replaced by Catanha in the 86th minute amongst
crowd applause.
Disgruntled South African striker Benedict
McCarthy elegantly and acrobatically volleyed Celta's winner in the
75th minute delaying Bilbao's thousandth league win.
The Egyptian striker has received a 2.7/3.0 match rating, making him Man of the Match.

Ramzy and Devils safe
Egyptian
veteran Hany Ramzy played a full 90 minutes and defended his net
successfully against last season's UEFA Champions League finalists,
Bayer Leverkusen, in a critical match for both teams who are fighting
relegation.
Kaiserslautern's 1-0 victory puts them in 11th spot,
relatively far from the danger zone. On the other hand, Leverkusen's
misery is doubled with the German league coming to an end soon.
